So, I kinda promised that I would post more often. Also, at some point I promised a person I was going to post in English (that’s why the previous post was also written in English. Although probably I should’ve said that person to use google translate, I think it is good that I practice my English writing. And no, it doesn’t mean I won’t use Spanish anymore). Finally, I think I also promised I was going to post this (the pictures) as the sequel to this other post.

I guess it would be easier for everyone if I just post them on Facebook, it would guarantee that more people see the pictures and post a comment about it but nah, I definitely prefer this way. Also, even that this blog is seen by 3 people (at most, of which none of them is a person I made a promise to) and the number of comments will be probably one (plus or minus one) they are probably more meaningful (I guess).

Being born and raised in Mexico, I got to see lots of American cartoons. To me, all those things on TV and books about the four seasons seemed weird. Yes, we have seasons in Mexico, but the contrast in all of them is not so notorious. Sure, winter is cold, but there is no snow. There are not multicolored leaves during Fall and most of the trees keep their green leaves and as far as I remember, only a few of them lose them all. The way spring is portrayed on TV makes no sense: everything suddenly turning green and full of life and a bunch of birds and squirrels had to be somebody’s trip on a mescaline smoothie.

The point is, now that I live significantly northern, all those things make sense. As I published before, Fall is, in fact, multicolored and snow does exist. Now that according to the calendar is spring, well…

yes, trees get full of flowers, everything turns green and birds chirp and all that stuff. And yes, all of it happens suddenly, like in two weeks. (Also, the trees lose their flowers really fast)

No se emocionen (o tal vez sí). Como los pocos lectores que tengo le hacen a eso de las ciencias, seguro les va a gustar esto: Number Gossip, una página dedicada a mostrar las propiedades de algunos números naturales (del 1 al 9999).

Es increible la cantidad de propiedades diferentes que puede tener un número (Defficient, Happy, Lucky, Odd, Twin, entre otros). Vayan y prueben algunos.

Si alguna vez han visto una película del “viejo oeste” o del desierto nunca (o casi nunca puede faltar una planta seca de forma esférica rodando por ahi, impulsada por el viento.

Pss esas cosas tienen nombre, en español es: estepicursor, sí, así de feo se llaman. En inglés es tumbleweed (tiene más punch). Lo que (casi) nadie sabe es que hay una contraparte congelada:
